In summary, I have been in higher education since 2004 after working in both corporate and small businesses. I hold a Texas Real Estate Broker license, a B.S. in Mathematics from Texas A&M Kingsville, an MBA in Finance from the University of Denver, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio. 

I have three children who are my inspiration in life, the picture is from 1992, a long, long time ago. Each is now on a path of their own and I am very proud of them. 

I am the second eldest of ten children and while I did not finish high school, I was the first in my family to earn a college degree.

As of May 2025, NINE of us have college degrees, four have Master's degrees, and two have doctorate degrees.

What is more amazing is our next generation; already we have Associate degrees and Certificates from Southwest Texas Jr College, Midland College, Fulton Montgomery Community College (NY), San Antonio College, Palo Alto College, and Laredo Community College; Bachelor's Degrees from: Texas A&M University, Texas A&M International, University of Texas Permian Basin, Texas State University, St. Mary's University, and Sul Ross State University. Master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University (Space Systems Engineering), University of Texas Permian Basin (Finance), and St. Mary's University (Accounting, CPA).
